Description: TrustYou is looking for smart, talented software engineers based in Munich, Germany to work on crazy hard problems. We’re most interested in people with strong theoretical and practical algorithms skills. Above all, we want people who like data and lots of it.

We have opportunities for superstars as well as the undiscovered geniuses out there. We care a lot more about beautiful minds than hot acronyms, but we’re hoping to find people with the following qualities:

Required:

  • Generally like data processing.
  • Strong interest in massively distributed systems.

  • Degree in Computer Science or other technical/scientific field.

Position: Statistician

Location: Munich, Germany

Description: TrustYou is looking for statisticians with exceptional ability on data analysis and specific algorithm design to join our team and work in our comfortable and pleasant Munich office. The most successful candidates for this role will hold a degree in mathematics, statistics or a minor in statistics and would be fluent in one programming language R, Python, Java. We expect an open minded person thinking beyond a learned collection of unrelated ad hoc devices and able to coach our team on statistical aspects. Interest in connected fields like formal languages is considered an advantage.

Desired skills:

  • Deep expertise and experience with statistical data analysis (i.e. linear models, dimensional analysis, multivariate analysis, stochastic models, sampling methods) in both academic and work experience.
  • Designing experiments to improve the quality of data extraction (quantitative and qualitative analysis).
  • Ability to draw conclusions from data and recommend actions.
  • Clustering and classification analysis and techniques and latent semantic indexing.
  • Data Visualization tools and techniques.

Nice to haves:

  • Experience with statistical and inductive parsing.
  • Speech recognition and machine translation experience or interest.

Position: Data Engineer

Location: Munich, Germany

Description: TrustYou is looking for a smart and effective working on multiprocess jobs with good attention to detail that has both experience with and passion for large data.

Required – The ideal candidate would:

  • Have a degree in engineering, science, or linguistics.
  • Be eager to learn new tools and skills related to data and scripting.
  • Be able to propose out-of-the-box strategies based on insights about data.

Desired Skills (at least three of the following):

  • Proficient in a language such as C, C++, Java or Python.
  • Linux/bash scripting.
  • HTML DOM/XPath and/or Regular expressions.

Position: Data Specialist

Location: Munich, Germany

Description: TrustYou is looking for fast, highly focused individuals with strong attention to detail and correctness, great organizational skills, and wide-ranging interests and areas of expertise.

Time: Full time candidates. Two internships will also be available for the 2010 – 2011 academic year.

Required – The ideal candidate would:

  • Have a degree in engineering, science, or linguistics.
  • Be eager to learn new tools and skills related to data and analysis.
  • Be able to propose out-of-the-box strategies based on insights about data.

  • Familiarity with multiple languages.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and judge algorithmically generated data and assess data quality.
  • Research and analyze data on the web, including finding and evaluating data sources and providing answers for specific data questions.
  • Research domain-specific data standards in a variety of subjects (eg., international points of interest, health, entertainment, education).
  • Apply data generation software and scripts.
  • Thoroughly document findings, assumptions, and conclusions.
  • Provide feedback and direction for data acquisition and scrubbing.
  • Author specifications to improve data processing and natural language processing, if appropriate.

Position: Application Software Engineer

Location: Munich, Germany

Description: Do you love building apps from new technologies? Playing/working with data and APIs? Telling your friends and/or the world about your latest technology discovery? If yes, we want you to consider coming on board as our developer evangelist. We are looking for a special person to help us make lots of friends in the developer community and inspire them to do cool, creative and impactful things with the TrustYou open data platform. Your goal is to catalyze and grow our data ecosystem with strong, active participation from many types of developers with diverse use cases.

Role:

  • Engage and build relationships with the TrustYou developer community – with both existing and prospective customers.
  • Deliver articulate, effective presentations/demos with technical content to small and large audiences.
  • Win the hearts of developers by helping them realize the full value of TrustYou products and services.
  • Run, organize, and attend hackathons, meetups, roundtables, conferences and other events, both local and national.
  • Produce collateral and content (e.g. blog posts, example apps, videos, tutorials, tweets) to increase the virality of TrustYou data and APIs.
  • Provide customer support on TrustYou forums and groups; engage in active conversation in blogosphere, news groups, mailing lists and social networks.
  • Help developers conceptualize, design and build projects and products using TrustYou.
  • Gather feedback that will inform Engineering, Product, Marketing, and Sales decisions.
  • Provide weekly updates/metrics on developer acquisition and retention efforts.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of product management, technical marketing or related experience.
  • Experience building thriving developer communities.
  • Have built web and/or mobile apps before, and are familiar with most current web development and data management technologies.
  • Passion for data, keen ability to unearth unobvious opportunities and spot possibilities.
  • A data geek who loves people, is a good listener, and enjoys sharing ideas and insights.
  • Stand-out communication skills; clearly explains ideas to different people with different viewpoints.
  • Able to hit the ground running (while learning on the job); be methodical and organized; able to manage multiple opportunities, projects and priorities concurrently.

Description: TrustYou is looking for experienced sales representatives in the UK, France, D-A-CH,US and Canada.

As a TrustYou Director of Sales you will be required to develop opportunities, demonstrate, advise on, promote and sell TrustYou’s products. In addition to a degree from a prominent university, successful candidates will have either a significant sales record in the hospitality or alternatively software industry, or will have spent a number of years in a customer-facing sales or marketing oriented role.

The role of an Director of Sales is to meet or exceed revenue targets through prospecting for new customers and maintaining relationships with existing customers. Applicants must be motivated to reach targets, meet deadline requirements and possess strong negotiating skills.

Candidate should have a strong understanding of the travel and hospitality industry – ideally with a special interest in social media. Candidate should be able to discuss TrustYou’s products in relation to the needs of all levels of a client’s organization, while at the same time understanding the strengths and weaknesses of competitive products. Candidate must be able to demonstrate TrustYou’s products and draft high quality proposals as a standard part of the sales process.

Candidate will be expected to maintain relevant data salesforce by recording all significant sales activity for each account or opportunity. Weekly Sales forecasts must also be maintained in an accurate and timely fashion.
